The problem I kept hitting was a $600 ceiling nobody talked about. Every buying guide on the internet treated glass light fixtures as if the decision ended at Wayfair price points, and then actual design publications wrote about Visual Comfort and Roll & Hill as if readers already knew the vocabulary. The gap between those two worlds — the one where people are genuinely trying to figure out whether a seeded-glass pendant is worth three times the price of a clear-glass lookalike, or whether a studio-blown globe holds up to the marketing — was where nobody was doing the work. The site works as a layered reference. Style and room guides are written for readers who are still forming a vocabulary — they need to understand why a mouth-blown globe pendant commands four times the price of an injection-molded equivalent before they can make a confident decision either way. Category deep dives go further: comparing finish durability, glass thickness disclosures, shade geometry and light distribution, and the retailer ecosystems (Amazon, Lamps Plus, Lumens, YLighting) where each price tier actually lives. Every article names prices, names brands, and names the tradeoffs — because vagueness is its own form of bias toward whichever option is easiest to click.

What we refuse to do is flatten the market to a single tier and call it a guide.
